The 1st "Sino-Korean Cancer Prevention and Treatment Forum" was successfully held from January 23 to 24 at Zhejiang Cancer Hospital, during which the hospital reached multiple cooperation intentions with the National Cancer Center, Republic of Korea. President of ZJCH Prof. Xiangdong CHENG, Vice Presidents Prof. Hong ZHANG, Prof. Guoping SHAN and Prof. Hai HU attended.

The Korean delegation includes President of NCCK and Secretary General of International Gastric Cancer Association Prof. Han-Kwang YANG, Director of Innovative Strategy Office and Gastric & Esophageal Cancer Endoscopist Prof. Jong Yeul LEE, Director of Cancer Knowledge & Information Center and Breast Cancer Surgeon Prof. Seeyoun LEE, Director of Proton Therapy Center and Chief of Radiation Oncology Department Prof. Sung-Ho MOON, Chief of Pathology Department and Biobank Prof. Chong Woo YOO, Assistant Scientist of Biobank Ms. Haejung SON, and Deputy Manager of International Cooperation Team Mr. Sang Suk OH.

On January 23, immersive disciplinary exchanges and collaborative innovation expanded, focusing on gastric surgery, heavy ion treatment, breast cancer, pathology and biobank.


After on-site tours of Heavy Ion Hospital, Molecular Pathology Center, Gastric Surgery Department, Experiment & Research Lab, Skills-up Training Center and Biobank on January 24, the 1st "Sino-Korean Cancer Prevention and Treatment Forum" kicked off, which provided an open platform for academic dialogues covering latest research findings, clinical diagnosis and treatment experiences and future development directions. President of ZJCH Prof. Xiangdong CHENG and President of NCCK Prof. Han-Kwang YANG delivered opening remarks.

The 1st "Sino-Korean Cancer Prevention and Treatment Forum" brought together experts and scholars to foster academic exchanges and mutual learning between China and Korea, the forum also featured the launch of new paradigms for bilateral cooperation including personnel visits, joint research, clinical trials, data sharing, and academic conferences. The deepened cooperation intentions and the reinforced relationships among a steady stream of international partner.
